Music industry icon Mally Mall is being noticed again for all the right reasons, with an important donation of laptops he is contributing to school children in the community who are now working from home during the Covid 19 pandemic. As originally reported by Hollywood Unlocked, Mally Mall is making an importance difference right now in the lives of many.
“One thing I’ve definitely learned working with amazing artists and producing platinum albums is that being able to work hard and knowing how to work smart makes all the difference,” explained Mally Mall. “When I see kids in school now making the effort to work from home during a difficult time, and hear that some kids don’t have the gear they need to compete, I know it’s important for people like myself to step up and actually do something about it. Being able to directly impact the lives of others in a positive way is sometimes hard to track, and making cash donations to big charities usually comes with a lot of overhead expenses being taken off the top, so I definitely prefer to do it this way. When I can hand off hundreds or thousands of laptops to kids in need, I know exactly where the help is going and how much of a difference the effort will make.”
Tracking the charts is nothing new for the award winning multi=platinum music mogul Mally Mall and the many top performers he has worked with from Justin Bieber to Drake, Post Malone, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Usher, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Jason Derulo, E-40, 2Pac and so many other leading artists. However, we here at Philanthropist Awards believe strongly that these sorts of charitable efforts are even more important than any music award or chart topping download title will ever be.
So much more can and should be done. As was recently reported, nearly half of the children working from home during the pandemic do not have access to broadband internet, and USA Today Reported recently that many children are working from parking lots to use local WiFi hotspots to get their academic work done.
“While I appreciate the work organizations like Philanthropist Awards continue to do, it’s never been about getting awards or glory for me personally,” said Mr. Mall. “Just like with the music, it’s about creating something amazing and lasting with a positive effect on people’s lives. If you can do that, the fame and the money always seem to come with it. In this case, what could possibly be more positive or have a more important lasting effect on people’s lives than helping kids get access to the tools they need to succeed in their educations and their lives moving forward. Pandemics will come and go, but these kids and the community that supports them are here to stay, and I am proud to be a part of that movement.”
We congratulate Mall Mall on his Philanthropist Awards notoriety in November and look forward to seeing… and hearing… much more from him in the years to come, both musically and philanthropically as well.
